1. Acceptance of Terms

By using www.cfbtransparency.org (the “Site”) or signing the pledge, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy.

2. Description of the Site

The CFB Transparency Initiative is a non-profit advocacy organization working for greater transparency and fairness in the College Football Playoff selection process.

3. The Pledge & Email Consent

When you sign the pledge to boycott SEC games (except when playing your preferred non-SEC team), you:

  • Make a voluntary public commitment
  • Expressly consent to receive occasional email updates about the transparency campaign and boycott progress
  • Understand that your first name, last initial, state, supported team, and comment may appear in the public supporter slider

You may unsubscribe from emails at any time.

4. Age Requirements

The Site and pledge are intended for users 13 years of age and older. Users under 13 may not submit the pledge. Teenagers aged 13–17 may participate.

5. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Submit false, misleading, harassing, defamatory, or illegal content
  • Interfere with the Site’s operation
  • Use the Site for commercial purposes without permission

We may remove any pledge or comment that violates these rules.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site (excluding user-submitted pledge comments) is owned by the CFB Transparency Initiative or its licensors and protected by copyright and other laws.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SITE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE CFB TRANSPARENCY INITIATIVE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR PARTICIPATION IN THE BOYCOTT. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED $100.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold the CFB Transparency Initiative harmless from any claims arising from your violation of these Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance.
